Accessibility
Last updated
This site is built to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
What that means here
- Contrast. Every text and background pair on the site is measured against the 4.5:1 minimum for body text. Bright accent buttons carry dark text rather than white, because white on a bright accent fails that minimum.
- Keyboard. Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, in a visible focus order. A skip link is the first focusable element on the page.
- Structure. One
h1per page with headings in order beneath it, and landmark regions for the header, navigation, main content, and footer, so screen readers can move through a page by section. - Motion. Transitions are short and subtle, and are switched off entirely when the operating system requests reduced motion.
- Zoom and reflow. Content reflows to a single column down to 360px wide and at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
Known limitations
Manufacturer websites linked from this site are outside SESCO's control and may not meet the same standard.
